Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

“At Rivendell School, our community is united in fostering a culture of equity and excellence. We are committed to inclusive, respectful, and safe learning environments where every student feels a strong sense of belonging and is supported to thrive.

Our shared vision upholds high expectations and high support for all. Teaching and learning are guided by the Quality Teaching Framework and evidence-based practice, ensuring lessons are engaging, rigorous, and relevant. We value both academic achievement and personal growth, recognising that excellence flourishes when every learner is known, valued, and cared for.

Equity and excellence are collective responsibilities. Every staff member contributes to reducing barriers, improving outcomes, and building capacity through reflection, innovation, and responsiveness to student and community voice.

We inspire and challenge our students to set and achieve personal goals, develop confidence and resilience, and pursue lifelong success and wellbeing.

Together, we are creating a future-focused school culture where diversity is celebrated as a strength and every student is supported to achieve their personal best.”
