During Science lessons in Term 4, students have become citizen scientists exploring the mangroves on the banks of the Parramatta River.
Students are observing and collecting data of different abiotic and biotic features of the mangroves, for example tides, carbon storage as well as living species such as mud crabs, snails, fish and various vegetation.
We are lucky to have mangroves right on our doorstep here at Rivendell, so our students have been able to investigate and explore the habitat of this fascinating ecosystem during their Science classes.
