SRC Term 1 Wrap Up

Rivendell School's Student Representative Council has had a fantastic start to the school year. Our students have advocated for the restructing of our SRC, introducing team to look after different aspects of the SRC roles and responsibilities.

These include the Communications Team, responsible for our SRC hosted Assembly and SRC Noticeboard updates, the Community Team, who looks after organising SRC hosted whole school events and building connections with local community members and other school SRCs. Lastly, we have the Blog team, who is responsible for providing updates to our website.

This term alone, the SRC has led a series of successful events to celebrate our school, its cohort and all of the ways we are diverse, inclusive and a supportive place to work, learn and thrive.

The SRC hosted events this term for Mardi Gras, International Women's Day, Harmony Day, and NSW Youth Week. Each of these events celebrated what makes Rivendell School a unique and supportive place for our wonderful students, and gave our SRC Representatives an opportunity to lead activities with their peers.

For Mardi Gras, we celebrated the importance of diversity and pride, for Harmony Day, we celebrated our multiculturalism and inclusiveness. and for International Women's Day, we reflected on the important women in our life who have made a difference.

We would like to thank the executive staff at Rivendell for supporting the SRC in hosting these events, and say a big farewell to Term 1! We are already discussing our plans for Term 2, and can't wait to share them with you all.
