Late last term, Rivendell School SRC launched a Great Garden Pot Competition. Each of our school programs were given a half wine barrel, potting mix, a $50 budget and a ten week time limit to meet the challenge of creatively decorating and planting out their pot for judging.
Roman Deguchi, Garden Projects Coordinator from Inner West Neighbour Aid, and Andrew Vickery, Garden and Grounds Manager from Sydney Local Health District, generously gave their time and expertise last Thursday to judge each of the outstanding entries across the following five categories: individuality, aesthetic appeal, sensory appeal, practicality and eco-friendliness.
Here are the images of the winning garden pots
Individuality – Yaralla
Aesthetic appeal - Sulman
Sensory appeal – Walker
Practicality – Paterson
Eco-friendliness and the overall winner – Lawson
