Education week 2021

Education Week is an annual celebration of public education in New South Wales, running 26-30 July in 2021. This year’s theme is ‘Lifelong Learners’, as continuous learning is critical for success throughout life.

Rivendell School is also hosting our Term 3 Parent Information Evening on Wednesday, 28 July, as part of Education Week celebrations, with a particular focus on transitions and post-school options to support our students as ‘lifelong learners’.

I would like to respectfully acknowledge the Wangal people who were one of the first Aboriginal people to encounter British settlers. The Wangal Clan lived in this place we now call Concord, and where Hen and Chicken Bay was an important Wangal Clan meeting place. The Wangal Clan is one of 29 clans of the Eora Nation. I would like to pay my respects to the Elders, both past, such as Bennelong, and present Elders and Aboriginal people of this land where we meet today.
