Preparation and Cooking
On Wednesday 17th of March, Lily and H.M. from Sulman baked a delicious apple crumble. This was cooked in the morning and was ready to be served during lunch, with leftovers for the following day. The recipe used simple ingredients such as oats, apples and fine sugar.
Taste and Serving
As the students and teachers of Sulman were being served, they were offered a scoop of vanilla ice cream to go along with the apple crumble. The apple crumble on the first day was crunchy and sweet with a little bit of an acidic taste because of the apples. With the vanilla ice cream it gives a lasting sweet taste and the temperature contrasts with the heat from the apple crumble.
